The Black Box
Erika Krugar's essay demonstrates a distinct black and white colour's combination which is very attractive to the readers. Especially in the page C, it is not only a combination of colours, but also a different types of hand-writing text and reversing images' combination. In this page, the writer applied both freehand writing style and the printing fonts. In addition, the writer also put a kind of semi-transparent cubic image flowing in the texts. And I think the most attractive point of this slide is its use of colours. The black background perfectly combined with many different tones of grey and white colours. So it is this series of combinations in this slide that gave me a basic inspiration of my design. Just like the shocking meeting between the 19th century Charles Darwin and 21th century Stephen Hawkin. In the final model, I'd like to combine some different styles of components together in order to demonstrate a dinstinct feature of my design. Combinations like circles and squares, smooth and spiky and bright colours and dark colours, to some extent, could highlight this point.
